The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet HHR. While driving at 40 mph, the clutch pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the clutch master cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the part was no longer manufactured. The failure mileage was 118,000.
