The valve guides apparently were known to be bad via Chevrolet and typically cylinder 4 is the 1 that goes bad 1st. Removed engine replaced all valve guides and valves on cyl 4 ... Fixed ** Initial problem reoccurring check engine light with cyl 4 as culprit, later traction control light . I made the $1900 repair and cleared the problem right up. Chevrolet doesn't care. I intend on buying a new high end 2500 series truck ($50 K +) in the next few months and this has taken Chevrolet GMC out of the picture.
This is a constant problem, code says #4 coil bad. Replaced it and same error the next day. How is it the crazy thing shows check engine tonight and it may or may not show it tomorrow.
