I replaced the bulb in my tail light the night before and I noticed that the bulb was white with a little hole in the middle of it, I asked a few people, and they didn't have an answer. So the next day Friday I had left work around noon going to another job driving down Shaw ave at a stop light I looked in my passengers side mirror and noticed a little black smoke I told myself it must be the car behind me. Leaving the stop light I looked again and the smoke had gotten worse so I turned into the closest driveway which was Walmart made sure there was no other cars around as I was pulling my keys from the ignition and grabbing my purse the smoke had came around the passengers side to the front of the vehicle making me choke, I got out of the car as the flames engulfed the car.
If there would have been a child in a restraint seat I could of never gotten them out in time. My car was a total loss cost me $300.00 to have it towed from the parking lot. I only had pl & pd & uninsured motorist for insurance. I am still in disbelief that this has happened. I am assuming that there was a short in the taillight and being that the battery is in the back right under the faulty tail light, thats where the fire started.
