As reported before this now makes the fourth Express 3500 that had catastrophic trans failure. The torque converter clutch failed sending large amounts of metal into lubrication/apply circuits. Clutches 4, 5 and 6 welded together. Trans had to be replaced with a SRTA unit (factory reman). Copied off of dealer receipt.
This is a fleet vehicle broke down setting in parking lot. it was put into reverse there was a loud clunk noise and would not move. towed to Dan Vaden Chevy in Ga., sat there two weeks and they still had not looked at vehicle. Called a tow truck had it drug 50 miles to Nesmith Chevy another 250 bucks) They had the vehicle repaired in four days. Now all we have to do is drive another 16 hours to pick it up. The part that's going to really suck is we purchased 5 of these pos vehicles. Want to start squares on when # 5 fails................................ I saw a cheap hat once years ago " those who say they would rater push a Chevy than drive a Ford do!!!!!!!!
