The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The contact was informed that the tire showed extreme tread separation. The tire was not replaced. The contact stated that the tire was a replacement tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000 and the tire failure mileage was 26,000.
