The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Express 3500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the front end of the vehicle was violently shaking and vibrating. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The brake rotors and brake pads were replaced, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 86,000.
The brake system completely failed. the peddle goes to the floor. there is still fluid in the reservoir to proper level but all brakes failed at the same time no stopping ability. had to use parking break to slow and down shift to first gear. This flaw could have killed or injured every passenger/occupant (s) as well as harmed other drivers on roadway/motorway. There should be some type of safety measure to aid in stopping even if a partial failure. But this is a whole system failure. Please advise
We've complained numerous times about the brakes. After having a complete brake rehab on July 7th, 2017, I experienced a complete brake failure on Feb. 2nd, 2018 losing all brakes instantly as I approached a 6 lane intersection. I contacted the owner of the dealership both by phone and email and did not receive any response. I was told that a hose or tubing was rubbing against the brake lines causing an abrupt loss of fluid? why this was not noticed during the earlier brake work seems questionable. Moreover, I am out hundreds of dollars following the earlier brake work that totaled about one thousand dollars just 7 months previous. To this day the brakes feel "mushy" and I have no confidence in the work done to solve the problem.
When I was driving in my local area, my brakes started to give out.in order to stop I needed to press very hard on the brakes to stop. Not easy to do.the warning brake indicator light came on.I took it to a local auto repair shop.they said they could not fix it.the brake line was the issue.they filled it with brake fluid then I was able too drive it to the dealer who then repaired the line, for 600 dollars. My question is were there other complaints about this issue.?if my kids were driving this it might have been a different story.thank goodness no one was hurt. There was no other indicators of this issue.

During a normal stop the anti lock brakes will kick in from right to left at random on dry pavement. This causes the steering to pull to the left and right with out warning. There are many complaints about this on the internet. The Chevrolet dealers are avoiding the issue, and the supposedly fix the problem ( at the owners cost), and the problem is still there. This has caused accidents for some drivers already.
