This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer was driving at 50 mph and the brakes started vibrating. The problem first started around 6-4-05, and has gradually gotten worse. The consumer took vehicle it to the dealership twice. There was nothing done to fix the vehicle because it was not covered under the warranty. The consumer contacted the manufacturer, they had him to make a second appointment with the dealership. When the consumer took it to dealer, they took the tires off, and inspected the brake pads and rotors. They told consumer that the metal had delaminated off the rotors. The brake pads were okay. They reported it to the manufacturer, who said it was not covered under warranty. The consumer felt it was a manufacturing defect. Consumer knew someone else with the same problem but, with a truck. There was a recall on the truck. There were no other known problems with the vehicle at this time.
