Tire had complete castastrophic failure of the side wall while on highway driving 54 mph. The entire side wall blew out. This tire had less than 15 days driving time on it since it was the spare that was replaced on Monday, 21 May. The only other time it was used was for 2 days last summer. The tire was brand new!!! (dot number: 120/116R tiresize: Lt24575R16)
PE00 020; consumer was loading up truck and noticed that passenger's rear tire had a chunk of the tread gone. Firestone, steel tex, R4slt245/75R16, dot#23570urbno5326-1 dot vn11B1A338.
Tread separation after loud noise. (thought a jet was going overhead). Felt no vibration or anything else prior to tire going flat. (dot number: Canada tiresize: LT245/7516)
