Information on Diesel Engine Soot Deposits at the Variable Turbine Geometry (VGT) Pin
Condition
Some customers may comment that combustion deposits or soot (1) can be seen coming from the Turbo Actuator Pin/Arm (2).
Information
This is normal operation and will not affect the function of the Turbocharger. There is a small gap between the seal and the shaft to allow for proper rotation.
Do Not replace the Turbocharger.
