I came to an intersection and had a yield sign. It was a country road It was raining most of the day but I was familiar with the road. I was going about 25 - 30 miles an hour . I hit the brakes and hydroplaned thru the intersection and hit the car when I went thru the yield sign and thru the intersection. I hit the front door. of the other vehicle. The airbags did not deploy. The car would not stop even though I was not going very fast. The damage to the car is from the preliminary estimate over $16000. The brakes didn't work, the tires didn't respond the airbags didn't work and the damage was excessive considering the speed of 25-30 miles an hour which is the speed that I was going. I haven't been in an accident in over 20 years and I drive rather slowly.
