I was due for oil change, so i would get the message that i was due, It had been running rough for a bit. One day at a stop light it stalled and would not start again. Had towed to find out the vehicle was completely out of oil and the engine had blew, no engine light no nothing came on.
Very disappointed to find out that these years burned 4 times the normal oil. nothing covered and even though it is under 10 years old to get a used or refurbished engine is next to impossible. Timing belt went year ago. and that should have been my indication to sell it.
I will never buy a chevy product again. When i called chevy dealer they said they knew of problems told me to call Canada head office in Oshawa. called them to see if extended cover or recall my Vin did not, I asked them to provide a letter or notice on what they sent to customers to let them know that they burn oil at a higher rate to watch for, the lady on the phone could not provide. I feel when a car dealership knows of a problem they should advise the consumer
