This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an Antilock Braking System or Stability/Traction indicator lamp on followed by a "Service Stability" message on the instrument panel cluster Instrument Panel Cluster. Technician may find a Diagnostic Trouble Code C0040 and or C0035 symptom 18 or 0F set in the Electronic Brake Control Module. Technician will need to remove and inspect the effected wheel speed sensor form the knuckle. Technician will replace the hub bearing washer if there is evidence that the tip of the wheel speed sensor has been rubbing.
