This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an intermittent "Hood Open" message displayed on the Driver Information Center, intermittent theft deterrent alarm or horn activation, and intermittent remote vehicle start event. Technician will need to replace the hood latch assembly if the vehicle is built before 09/06/2012.
