Not on a regular basis but at times I would start the vehicle and the engine would be rough for a couple of seconds. I turned the engine off and checked the oil and had to put 3 quarts in. I took it to a Chevy dealer and was told this is common and was surprised it didn't happen in the first 50,000 miles. They replaced the timing chains and installed a new piston kit. My oil gets changed on a regular basis.
