Apparently the original transfer case on this car was just a crap part. This vehicle has not had nearly enough wear and tear put on it to warrant this type of issue. Luckily it was still covered by the powertrain warranty. The replacement part was quoted at $1700 and I have no clue how many hours it took to fix.
