The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the vehicle consumed an excessive amount of oil with the check engine warning light illuminated. The engine oil was topped off every month by the dealer. The contact was informed that the defect was related to the catalytic converter. The contact also stated that the power door locks and windows failed to operate as needed, causing the contact to be locked inside and outside of the vehicle at various times. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
