I purchased the car new and have regretted it since. This was the start of the problems, but not the end. We are now out-of-warranty even though the problems started way before the warranty ended. We even had the engine replaced but continue to have the same problems. Friends of ours also bought same year and were smart enough to change vehicles early. I believe there is something majorly wrong with this year of Equinox. You can fix each thing that happens but the problem is that they keep reoccurring.
My trim started falling off a couple of months after buying the car. I feel that it is a disgrace for Chevrolet to have put this vehicle on the road and then to give customers the run around until the warranty runs out. Anyway...Still having problems and cannot wait to get another vehicle. Can say this one has definitely made me decide to purchase another brand. Have also chosen Chevy but no more!!!!!
Update from Sep 20, 2018: We not only have had to replace the motor, we are having to do the transmission, a lot of the rubber fell of the car in the first year or two, the air conditioner and heater have been going out periodically, etc. I thought it was just the 2010 but maybe it is just the Equinox.
