A/C unit fan will "surge" when on speeds 3 and higher. It will work at the speed selected and then suddenly increase in its speed and then cycle down to what is should be. Does the regardless of whether the car is accelerating, idling, off. Dealer can't figure it out since if there is no recall on it, they don't view it as a problem. Anyone else out there have this?
I bought this car only 6 weeks ago and already have had it in for servicing twice now and for the same exact thing. The AC blows cold then warm, it will do this constantly while I am driving. I took it in to the dealer about 3 weeks ago and they had to add freon to the system, that solved the problem for about 5 hours. Then it started all over again. I had to wait for 3 weeks to get the time to bring it in again, when I did they still said there was nothing wrong. Except that they had to add more freon again. I made the service manager keep the car till they could come up with the reason for a brand new car needing to get the AC serviced so many times in the first 3000 miles. I have a loaner now, so lets see what comes out of this one. I have found online that I am not the first one to have this problem with their 08 Equinox.
