The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle emitted a strong fuel odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the fuel failure. The dealer inspected the vehicle but was unable to locate the fuel failure. In addition, the sun-roof seal was defective and causing water to penetrate the interior of the vehicle. As a result, the interior light would not provide proper illumination. The dealer advised that the sun-roof could not be repaired and the interior lighting failure could have been caused by a faulty alternator. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 69,000 and current mileage was 78,000.
