On long trips, after driving for hours at 70 MPH the minor hum (drive shaft?) becomes a vibration. Dealer replaced the tires because of a "hopper" that only showed up with a force balance, the problem was not corrected. The resonate vibration is only felt on a smooth asphalt road. It goes away below 65 MPH. The tire pressures at this condition are 40PSI after starting cold at 34 PSI. All testing at the dealer was done under cold conditions and the car was "normal" for a AWD Equinox. The .07 G vibration at 38 HZ (driveshaft speed at 70 MPH) was at the max for a normal car. The 1-800 call center did nothing more then tried to close out the case file. The regional tech rep said he went by the seat of his pants rather than scientific measurements.
