it started shaking when the front brakes were applied. we changed the rotor and new brake pads. they didn't last a week. we changed the rotor again and put another pair of brake pads on but this time it got so hot it started smoking and then it caught on fire. the 3rd time we changed the rotor, put on new brake pads and also this time changed the caliper. we took it for a test drive it is shaking again, it smells of getting hot we are afraid of another fire or worse. we cannot drive it very far at all. we are so pissed at this point. Does anyone else have any other ideas what it can be? we did all this within the last 2 weeks. grrrrrr.
