I bought a used Chevy Cruze in December of 2021. By January of 2023, I had under 100K miles and the StabliTrack light came on. I took it to PepBoys where they recommended I get a fuel injector replaced. That solved the problem for about 2 weeks. The StabiliTrak returned and so did my check engine light. I took it to a different mechanic the news was devastating. Chevy and GM intentionally overinflated the PSI in all the cylinders to compensate for the Turbo Charged engine. This resulted in a cracked piston and leaking PSI in cylinder 1. It was recommended to replace the entire engine. I managed to purchase a used engine and had a mechanic put it in for 2400. However, my main issue was dealing with Chevy and GM. They are aware of how poor their engines are that they only cover repairs up to 60K miles for the powertrain. I will NEVER buy another Chevy again. I wont buy a pen let alone another vehicle from Chevy.
