The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a cracked catalytic convertor. The vehicle was repaired, however, two years later the failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with catalytic convertor failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact discovered an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
