The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. On another occasion, the vehicle failed to start-up. The vehicle was towed to hurd auto mall - Chevrolet located at 1705 hartford ave, johnston, ri 02919, where the technician reprogrammed the engine control module and serviced the wiring harness. The contact indicated that recently the failure recurred and the vehicle would not start. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,000. The VIN was not available.
Vehicle is overdrawing battery current when motor is running causing electrical power loss at engine idle. Loss of electrical power causes engine to stall while in travel lanes. Alternator and battery are verified functional.
Had to change def reservoir and engine oil psi solenoid valve and my side serivce alert in broken too and at 26000 miles I ask for new car because I had 7 replacement part put on car I was deined new car
Not sure what's wrong. I've fixed things already like mass flow sensor, air filter, motor mounts a valve leak. Cars been in and out of the mechanics for months. Cars engine shut off 2-3 times while driving with my daughter in the car!!!!!. another time it turned off right after I started it up. The car is unsafe!!!!!! I've had it had 2-3 different mechanics. And the Chevy dealership. The car never turns off for anyone but me. This past weekend I was attempting to pick up my car from one shop to take to another and it wouldn't start. This shop had the car for a week and a half and it never turned off until I went to pick it up. Now they still can't find what's causing the problem. I've spent 2 grand in labor and tows in just the last 3-4 months. I can't keep doing this!!!!!! someone please help me figure this out!!!!!!
When I was driving at 30 mph my wheel locked up and a messages appeared on my dash saying power steering fail. I had no control over my wheel and that happened twice in a 5 minute drive. My wheel now has resistance when turning. The next day when trying to start my car it stalled, when started again a message appeared about the anti theft system being activated- I couldn't drive my car. When I restarted it again another message appeared saying 'roll driver window down and back up'. the same night I was driving 5 minutes down the road and everything inside of my car turned off- dashboard, lights, radio, I'm pretty sure my car even turned off for that second and that happened 3 times in the span of a 5 minute drive, all while my wheel is still resisting to turn. On a diagnosis nothing appears to be wrong with my vehicle. This is extremely unsafe and I am very concerned

When I drive the lights on the inside with go off and my car stops while driving or taking turns. One time I opened the hood and touch a hose or hire and it came back on. Sometimes I have to try and turn the key while it stops while driving and restart it in the middle of a highway or turn.
It looses power. All dash lights flash on and off while driving, the radio turns on and off and the car looses power steering while driving (this is major and I've had a few scary moments while turning). At times the key will get stuck in the ignition and it will not start. The only way to get the key out is to pop the hood and jiggle the battery cable, it will then release the key. All these issues happen daily. I have no warning lights that stay on consistently.
Car will randomly turn off while driving. Sometimes it S full engine and power failure and sometimes it is just engine failure and accessories still stay on. This has happened since the car was new and has been looked into by several Chevy dealers in my area. Autonation told me he had several other Chevy that did the same thing.
With this condition, the radio/HVAC display turns off and on; the antilock brake system, service traction system, service stabilitrac and steering vehicle messages may come on and off; the turn signal sound may not be heard; 'battery saver active' and 'service steering' were displayed in the driver information center (dic); and the interior and exterior lighting flickered. Recently power steering assist was also lost, and greater effort may be needed to turn the steering wheel at low speeds or while the vehicle is stopped.
The page previous to this one would not let my check every box (3 max), the other things I would have checked that were affected are -lighting -speed control -steering -wiper -traction pictures show these two signals that pop up "service stabilitrak" and "service traction control". whilst im driving some come things start to happen; the radio/ dash stereo will flicker on and off- all noise stops (any music or blinkers), the heater/ ac wil stop blowing if it is on. Sometimes when this happens my power steering will also go out, jerking the steering wheel while im driving, and happens alot when im turning (very scary). The dash will also flicker with ABS, brake, traction, lights. Some days it will happen very frequently, other days it will only happen a couple times. I am uncertain what I am doing that is making it act this way. When I am at a stoplight, or drive thru and the same thing as above happens my engine will suddenly shut off while my windshield wipers activate out of no where- very startling (this has happened while my gear shift was in park and while im holding the brake in drive). This has happened multiple times and while in different situations, stationary, in motion, city street, highway, turning, going straight, braking, none of this has happened until a few months ago. Sometimes when I start my car in the morning to warm I come back outside and then engine had shut itself off. The traction does not seem like it is gripping to the road very well, winter has just started, and I am scared to drive it. I am going to get it checked out at a Chevy dealership as soon as I get the money. I have just now had the car for a year, myself. Thank you.
The aux signal come on over the radio I can't listen to the radio and every now and again the onstar lady comes on without anyone pushing a button I turned off the blue tooth as well. Also every 2-3 months my car battery dies without cause every light is off this occurs when the radio starts acting out more frequently this has happened since I bought the car and the dealer couldn't figure it out either so I had to buy a battery charger because I never know when my battery will die. I even changed the battery this year N still it dies without cause
Nox position 1 sensor went bad. It was recalled on other Chevy Cruze diesel vins but mine was not recalled and it went bad I took it to the dealer for a check engine light and they told me it was a nox sensor but that it was not recalled on my VIN so it was not covered
The car was being driven from one state to the next. It was a two in a half hour drive. Not even a hour into it the check engine light came on. The we made sure to check everything before we left home. It was fine. Than the auto start wouldn't work. Allied on start and they said you should be able to. But I can't. than it started making this weird sound whenever I drive. I went to autozone and they said there's nothing caught in it, it's the engine. Now whenever I drive and wait at a red light the car starts shaking a lot. It's raining now and I'm scared I my loss control.
Was driving on the freeway exiting the offramp that curves to the right. When I turned the steering wheel it locked up and the stereo turned off. I had no control over the direction my vehicle was traveling. I applied my brake, to keep from hitting another vehicle. When I pressed my brake the steering wheel unlocked briefly then locked again. Then a yellow ⚠️ warning light illuminated and my car began to pull to the right. The stereo powered on and the steering wheel returned to normal. The yellow warning ⚠️ light turned off. I continued to travel another 1.5-2 miles more to my home and it happened again. This time a green dash light illuminated and said service power steering. I parked my car at that point. I am contacting the dealership to make arrangements for repair. The reason why I am filing a complaint is because of the danger associated with this type of malfunction. It put my life and other drivers life is at stake. This is not an acceptable way for a vehicle to function. This is not the only time I've had an electrical issue with my vehicle. In October 2018 after driving to mammoth California my vehicle completely turned off while I was on the highway. Something similar to a stall out.
When the car is in the park position and the key is in the ignition switch in the off position, the engine will randomly begin to start. Sometimes, if the key is not in the ignition switch and touches the opening of the ignition switch the car engine will begin to start. I think it's a faulty ignition switch.
