The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. When applying the accelerator or brake pedals, there was not enough clearance between the two which caused the pedals to be depressed erroneously. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that there was no safety concern and no solution pertaining to the failure. The contact was unable to determine a repair remedy to prevent the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.
2014 Chevrolet Cruze. Consumer writes N regards to vehicle sudden acceleration after stepping on the brake pedal. The consumer stated the brake and accelerator pedal were in close proximity of each other and he discovered they could be applied at the same time.
