Since purchasing this Cruze I have had to deal with water intrusion into tire trunk compartment every-time it rains and driving through car wash. I at first thought it was a fluke and put up with it the first two times, but then when it be came apparent there was something wrong with seal somewhere, and I was getting frustrated with constantly vacuuming with a shop vac, I went and purchase several types of webbing seals and yet the issue prevailed.
I finally was at wits end when vacationing in Myrtle Beach and a torrential rain storm nearly filled the trunk. I was not mindful to consider the seal fix I had performed may yet again have failed, until I smelled mold/mildew and found my luggage and souvenirs damaged. I went to Home Depot while on vacation (pouring down rain that day) and pulled under the pick-up area and two employees ask what I was picking up. I informed them I needed to get out of the rain to perform yet another "Leak" fix. They were shocked at how much water, but the one guy indicated it could be through the taillight.
Once back home I took it into the dealership and was told the Chevy emblem was the source and it look to have been previously replaced. Paid hundreds of dollars and figured problem solved...Nope, at this writing, the vehicle is yet again in the repair shop trying to find the leak, and having told the General Manger that there are several complaints and indications of the taillight, he indicated they will take a look. GM had also been contacted and I was given a complaint number when the first repair attempt was made, where GM called the dealership directly to arrange the inspection,
