CarComplaints.com Notes: What’s that smell – it’s a tad sweet with a tinge of chemical toxicity? If you own a 2011 Cruze it’s probably a coolant leak. It’s a widespread and notorious problem for the car and is the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed in the state of New York. And that’s not the only problem 2011 owners face…
Many say the 2011 model year suffers from a throttle lag that is probably due to a fauly electronic throttle control. The problem is signifigant enough that some owners say they are too scared to drive their cars. Those that do get behind the wheel often say their transmission isn’t shifting properly and problems start occuring as early as 15,000 miles.
All of this leads us to say you’re probably better off without this car’s headaches (they’re probably chemically-induced anyway).

Bought this car knowing and being told it can be towed behind a MH. Found out through family, that their friend received a letter from GMC that it is not towable due to transmission issues- so do not tow. According to another web site the letter said it was a typo error and please insert a page in your manual. Bull because the dealer and us looked it up and it states what fuses must be removed to be towed on all four! We leave in 5 weeks and need to resolve this issue. Keep in mind we had the towing package put on, a bra made for it too. Blue Ox who makes the base plate had the pattern ready to buy. So this was no typo error and someone needs to make it right and NO more cost to the Chevy Cruze owners. Not this "Oh we will buy you a dolly to tow.." If we wanted to use a dolly we would of chosen that root in the first place!
