Every time since I bought this expensive 2017 Stingray Corvette it has had a tire hop/tire chatter during tight turns at parking lot speeds. It feels like something is sticking when pulling out of a parking space and jerks. I have taken it to the dealer twice and was told this problem could not be fixed and was given a copy of "document ID 4711088" put out for 2014-2017 Model Years Chevrolet Corvette Z51 and Corvette ZO6. It said that it was due to " Imperfect Ackermann Steering Geometry and Sticky Tires." The tires do not follow the same arc. GM made them this way supposedly to package larger brakes, reasonable wheel offsets and a wider stance for a big V8 engine. GM has not tested or validated any other tires that might be able to fix the problem and recommends owners keep the current tires which sound like a suspension or front end noise while jerking in tight left or right turns. It is stated that the car is working as designed! If this is working as designed then Chevrolet has terrible quality control. Would you want a car that jerks and hops any time a tight turn is made?
