- "14481 - SERVICE UPDATE. THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES A SERVICE PROCEDURE TO INSPECT AND VERIFY THE INSTALLATION OF THE SPARK PLUG WIRES ON CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A GEN V GAS 5.3/6.2L V-8 OR 4.3L V-6 ENGINE (RPO L83/L86/LT1/LV3). THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE LOOSE SPARK PLUG WIRES THAT ARE NOT SECURED AT THE SPARK PLUG OR COIL ATTACHMENT. LOOSE SPARK PLUG WIRES CAN CAUSE A MISFIRE CONDITION RESULTING IN P0300 DTC BEING SET WITH MIL (“SERVICE ENGINE SOON” LIGHT). CONTINUED OPERATION WITH THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER."
