Let me first say that as long as the highway is clear and I don't have to slow down for anyone, the car is fine. I decided to take my car for a long road trip and it didn't take long for the Labor Day traffic to make my car start acting up. I cruise around 79, when I have to back off for traffic up a hill and when I try to accelerate, the car has a jerking motion. If I can mash the gas to the floor, car responds. I have come to the conclusion that the transmission which goes into 4 cylinder mode while cruising is not downshifting and the engine is lugging trying to climb the hills. I am not getting any warning lights so the dealerships aren't getting any good data to work with. I can honestly say that I hate this car because of it. This is not my first Corvette, muscle car or 4 cylinder. I paid a lot of money for a car I can't take on road trips and if I'd wanted a car that got awesome gas mileage, I wouldn't of been looking at a Vette.
