This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The pedal/ throttle body circuit has issues has you are driving the car goes on limb mode, I almost got crashed into, I looked online and there is hundreds of complains including the trucks as well.
1) check airbag warning light turns on intermittently when adjusting drivers seat. Faulty wiring in seat wiring harness. 2) check airbag warning light turns on when driving on highway or when parked. Moving seat back, forward, up/down will clear the check airbag warning light, but warning returns. 3) recurring issue on multiple days.
The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Corvette. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. In addition, the vehicle failed to recognize the key fob when inserted. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 9,000.
I became trapped inside this late model Corvette. I opened, entered, sat in and simply closed the unlocked drivers door of this car located in the for sale section of the carmax store in waukesha wi. The doors locked approximately 1 minute after entry. All attempts to unlock via the unlocking door switch and interior door lock stem at interior door sill failed to unlock and grant exit. A female store visitor flagged a female sales associate 5 minutes later to unlock the vehicle and open the door. Oxygen levels decreased rapidly in its windows up/doors closed configuration. I was in a near panic state. I was fortunate temperatures were in the 60's and cloud cover was high. I feared for my safety and believe fatal consequence can easily result from this engineering defect.
