Fuel odor in garage, as others, to the point you can't and shouldn't park in your garage. No evidence of fuel leaking anywhere. Tried new fuel cap, still had odor. Then read all the Corvette forum comments on the problem. Found out there was a special service bulletin/recall. I took it to dealer, and was told even though the car only has 78k miles, because the car was over 10 years old, it is not covered. Plenty of compelling information on the problem, yet manufacturer hasn't been standing behind their product from every post I read. The dealer I took it to, Tedd Britt, was not even able to find the leak, but did provide estimate of all the parts and labor. Their cost to fix problem? $7,300!
Excellent video on YouTube shows how to fix what is likely the issue/source, but not something Harry Homeowner/not mechanically inclined Vette owner would want to attempt.
