The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. While starting the vehicle, the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an emissions stations and the contact was informed that the secondary air duct ion system was the cause of failure. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the dealer confirmed that the air duct system was the cause. The contact paid for the repairs but the check engine light illuminated again. It had not been repaired again at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 18,550. The current mileage was 18,600. Updated 08/17/10. The consumer stated he experienced emissions failure for the second time. Updated 08/23/10
