The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, the steering wheel suddenly locked up. After applying the brake to stop the vehicle, it continued to accelerate at higher speeds when he then crashed into a ditch, went airborne and landed on the opposite side of the highway. The police were called and a report was available. The driver and passenger sustained no injuries. The vehicle was then towed to a independent mechanic and they were advised that a GM investigator would come and inspect the vehicle. They are waiting the outcome, but it was deemed destroyed.
