I have 42,000 miles on this 2002 Chevrolet corvette I have never seen this problem on any other vehicle that I have owned and I have owned hundreds of vehicles even Fords! The air bag cover is turning into a glue like substance. It will literally glue your hand to the center of the steering wheel! This could become a major safety issue, not only because of the sticky mess, but the cover that's turning to a glue covers the airbag on the drivers side! This is a potential safety hazard and the owners of these Corvettes with this material degrading should not have to shoulder the responsibility for the cost for replacing. This is a problem that could and might cause serious harm to anyone that has one of the vehicles that has this problem. Common sense would dictate a recall for this problem! GM needs to man up on this one and do the right thing! These Corvettes are not cheap and customers that buy these vehicles expect a lot better quality! These airbag covers should be replaced by GM dealers ASAP!!!!
