This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
A few months ago I noticed my driver's door was hitting the guide whenever I closed the door. Thinking the hinge needed some adjustment, I took the car to the dealer a couple weeks ago to find out how to adjust it or to have it done if it is covered under the warranty. The evaluation concluded that the door (fibreglass) was cracked and an entirely new door has to be installed (including painting it and repainting adjacent areas of the body.) my concern is not the immediate fix, since it is covered by the warranty, but if this continues to occur in the future, not only will the repair cost be very high, but there would be a danger of the door falling off while driving. The dealer told me that they have already replaced three doors at their facility, so I presume the issue might be much larger nationally. I am awaiting the repair at this time.
