While the vehicle was parked driver noticed that both rear tires were deflated. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the rims cracked, and needed to be replaced.
Chevrolet corvetter (1999) has oem alloy wheels. All (both front and rear) have cracks on the inside of the rims in the area of the bead. One wheel has three cracks, the others all have one crack. The cracks run from the inside edge toward the center of the wheel, and are about an inch long. There are no signs of any other damage to the rims (never hit curbs, road hazards, etc.).
