This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The consumer owns a 1998 Chevy Corvette. The vehicle only has around 39000 miles on the vehicle. He took the vehicle to his mechanic to have it inspected and to have new tires put on the vehicle and the mechanic noticed that three out of the four rims had cracked. The consumer does not drive this vehicle in the winter months. He called GM and they wanted him to bring the vehicle to one of their dealers to have it inspected and the lady at GM would not answer his question if other vehicles had this problem.
