The handbrake hasn't worked since the car was new. I took it to the dealer at the first recommended service date (oil change). At the time, I reported the failure. The dealer said there was nothing wrong. I have had it to two dealers a total of five times over this non-functioning hand brake. Both dealers' service departments have replaced parts and both admit it's still broken, but they don't know what to do. The manufacturer weon't help, saying it's a "design issue" and not a manufacturing defect. I have complete notes on all conversations and could fax them to you. It is quite involved and a real horror story.
