While driving, the ABS light appeared on the dashboard. The consumer applied the brake pedal and it went to the floor, and the vehicle didn't stop. The dealer stated the electronic module needed to be replaced. It would cost $1000.
Consumer was traveling about 55mph on baltimore Washington parkway when she noticed that ABS brake and airbag lights came on dashboard. Her first respond was to pull over, but that wasn't advisable. When she got to her destination turn off vehicle. And came back out within minutes, and vehicle would start. About two hours later, vehicle started up, but, later cut off. Vehicle was towed the gas station, and mechanic told consumer starter was gone. Starter has been replaced.
While trying to make a left hand turn at very slow speed, consumer applied brake, and no braking action. Pedal felt normal. Vehicle was idling faster, and consumer smelled rubber burning. Dealer could not remedy. One year ago, consumer had the very thing happen, and then dealer replaced calipers.

Paint has been coming off all over the car, causing rust spots. Brakes sometimes do not catch and you have to push the pedal all the way to the floor. Also the brake and brake pads have to be changed once a month because they wear out too quickly. The power locks stick in the cold weather and will not lock or unlock until it warms up. When I was in a crash the drivers airbag did not deploy causing me to hit my face on the steering wheel.
Brake pedal went to floor at 3 mph with rough grinding sound. Pumped brakes twice and brakes were normal. The brakes pads, rotors, rear brakes are ok. No ABS failure or hydraulic failure lights on during failure. The rought grinding sound has occured before at low speed, but brakes were normal. Many similar compaints on your website. It's time to act. Is this another Firestone tire?
The ABS has gone on twice - dealer failed to repair, claimed it was the "bulb"-brakes were replace 4 times in 1 year; then the from rotors "rotted" and brakes and rotors were replaced again. Then the left front control arm broke - the day after the repair, the right from control arm broke. I had the repairs done at a garage other than the dealer - I was then told that the parts dealer said Chevrolet re-designed the front control arms due to this problem. I contacted Chevrolet and they said they had "no complaints". well, it's a serious enough defect that the tires could have come off. I have asked Chevy for some type of re-imbursment. I spent over $900 for repairs. I've yet to hear back from them.
ABS is not working. GM dealer said cannot be repaired because no code appears on their computer. Without code dealer is unable to determine problem. Dealer relined front and rear brakes at my expense. This did not correct the problem. I have a vehicle which I feel is not safe due to lack of braking power because of ABS not working. Dealer stated that this is a constant problem with GM cars but they cannot correct the problem until their computer shows the repair code indicating the failed part..
While driving on the freeway, traffic stopped but our car did not. The brakes were applied correctly and we had space to stop but we did not and rearended the vehicle in front of us. The 2nd time this happened on a city street when the brakes were applied suddenly. The car just did not stop. Mechanics can find nothing wrong with the brakes. GM recalled SUVS with this problem. Is there a recall pending for our vehicle" or how do we get this fixed"
While vehicle was in motion ABS sensor light illuminated. Dealer has informed owner that the hydraulic module and the brake pack need to be replaced. A tsb has been issued on vehicle for this problem. Manufacturer has been notified.
When applying the brakes the vehicle feels as if someone has hit it in the rear, and there is a screeching noise. The ABS warning light comes on when the brakes are applied. Dealer has seen vehicle. ABS completely is non-functional.
When applying the ABS brakes on wet or dry pavement the brakes failed to completely stop the vehicle, extended stopping distance occurred, cause unknown.
When applying the brakes the first time in a day, the front end has a noise and experience extended stopping distance. Also, vehicle hesiates which may cause an accident. Also the ABS light stay on. Been to dealer several times. Dealer cannot determine the problem.
Air bag lights keep comming on and then going off. The vehicle sometimes shakes on start and while driving. When driving, especially at idle, the smell of gas fills the vehicle. Also, brakes pulsate, signals rarely work.
When driving and sometimes when using the brake pedal it goes the floor or it will build itself up, and even kick itself back with force. Vehicle has been in/out of dealer's shop, problem still exists. Dealer refuse to accept vehicle for anymore repairs.
