My Brand New Chevy Colorado has been at the dealer for 2 days! I've been trying to figure out what's up with the fuel system/emissions error after the check engine came on. Dealer is doing their best, but they had to dig into our new truck. They still haven't figured out what is wrong. I'm Not Happy.
I have owned 1985, 1995 and 2019 Colorados (all new). Also have owned 1998, 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2017 loaded Silverados, all new, and a 2002 Corvette. The Colorado is is a V6 auto ZR 1 with air box and performance exhaust.
At 2000 km the cam ground up. It has 16000 km now and a service soon. I am a regular visitor to there at least 5 times, with always something different. It is Crush colour, our company Colour. (It attracts a lot of comments.) I just tell people we should have ordered it real colour - LEMON YELLOW. It is at the dealership in Guelph as I write this.
PS If you really want an orange P/U, DODGE makes one.
This morning when I went to start up my 2019 Chevy Colorado WT with a 3.6L engine and just over 2000 miles the check engine light illuminated and stayed lit solidly, no flashing to indicate any codes. Engine ran rough when cold but did a little better when warmed up. No unusual noises heard but a strong smell of alcohol out from the tail pipe. Off to the dealer I went this morning (Saturday) of which the service advisor tells me it'll be Monday before the dealership service people can work on it.
NOT a happy Colorado owner now.....this shouldn't be happening on a newer vehicle that I have had in my possession for 2 months.!! VERY BAD quality control as I have now read many complaints about this same vehicle's known issues.....wish I had this info BEFORE I decided to purchase a Colorado.
