The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormally loud sound like and explosion coming from under the hood of the vehicle. The contact coasted to the side of the roadway and had the vehicle towed to tom gill Chevrolet (7830 commerce dr, florence, ky 41042) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump bolts became detached. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 18V358000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 64,665.
