CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Chevy Colorado has a significant trend of transmission problems.
Most owners reporting transmission problems with their 2015 Colorado report sluggish shifting or other similar problems with the truck not shifting properly. Although most of these 2015 Colorado trucks are still under warranty, it's not a good sign.
The Chevy Colorado is mechanically identical to the GMC Canyon.
I thought I was the only one having this problem but it now seems to be reported by someone else as well. Usually when driving on low RPMs there is a rattling noise coming from the engine that can be clearly heard inside the cabin. Usually get's better right after an oil change but within days it comes back and it gets really loud.
Been to the dealer several times now for them to duplicate the problem and they always say they don't hear anything. Most of the time i drive it, i hear it. It sounds like metal or chain rattle, low sound, not too loud but i definitely hear it from inside. Sounds like coming from the engine area but only when i step lightly on the gas from a complete stop. Then when i had a fridge on my truck bed, the rattle seemed to be louder every time i accelerate but then goes away after hitting a certain speed. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Chattering from the engine during acceleration. Possibly the timing chain? Our 2010 Equinox had a similar issue & this was the problem.
