Went to leave the house and my battery was totally dead. I jump started the vehicle. I noticed that the battery voltage gauge read 14.5 after a few minutes of driving, it started dropping. It dropped all the way to 13.6 which to me is battery voltage with the motor off. Took it to the dealer and the technician told me that new model charging systems regulate the output of the alternator to the voltage that the battery requires.
Most systems I know put out 14.0 volts constantly. Hmmmm.
