About These NHTSA Complaints:
This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I am the owner of a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado truck. Several times when applying the brake, my foot has also pressed down on the accelerator. (pressing brake and gas peddle at the same time). They are located too close to each other and present a serious safety potential. I have experienced this problem many times since I owned this vehicle, but just recently, have hit a parked car in front of me when I thought I was applying the brake. Would like you to look into this matter and I feel GM is responsible for a poorly designed product that needs immediate correction and has responsibility for the damage to my truck. I have heard other owners of this truck have experienced this same problem.
2007 Chevy lt Colorado crew cab with reflecting dash and to high back seats** the consumer stated the reflection impedes his vision of the outside mirrors. The consumer stated the high back of the seats cover about 60% of the rear window making it impossible for him to back out of a parking space.
