same issue that is on my 2008 Cobalt. Paint coming off for no other reason than a production issue. This should be a recall before it does permanent damage to the doors. If this is happening on years 2008 and 2010,it must be happening on other years as well.
Paint on all the door edges is chipped or flaking. When I showed a service person at the dealer, he said it's normal from the door hitting cars next to it when I open the doors. I doubt that I hit the car next to me with all four doors every time I open them. Since the car is hardly used (less than 10,000 Km), I rarely have passengers and I NEVER hit other cars with my doors, that is pretty unlikely. It's pretty obvious to me that the paint job is defective and is coming off just from being touched and from the force of closing the doors. I see much older cars than mine with no paint off. Since I've been driving for 30+ years and have never had this problem on other cars there just might be a problem with the paint on this model.
