The 2006 added it’s own special flare with gas leaks due to cracks in the “return portion of the modular reservoir assembly.” A recall of 2006 Cobalts was issued to fix the problem, but only to vehicles sold in or current registered in Arizona and Nevada, leaving other owners to pay for repairs themselves.
I brought my car in to the dealership atleast 10 times and it still is not fixed... once they replaced the booster and it didn't notice it for a couple weeks but then it came back... I've been dealing with this for about 2 years now, everytime i brake i have to lift the pedal up with my foot or i can't use my cruise control b/c my brakes are on. Everytime i bring it in they say they can't duplicate the problem.
