CarComplaints.com Notes: The Cobalt was introduced to replace two of Chevy’s smaller cars, the Cavalier and Prizm. But the compact’s fresh start that Chevy was hoping for was riddled with issues, most notably widespread power steering failure.
While driving, my brakes would stick and I would have to pull the brake up with my foot. The cruise control wouldn't work and the brake lights were on. Very annoying but after two years it was fixed by replacing the brake booster.
This has been going on since September '06. The shop says they can not duplicate this problem. Yet they adjust some part and say it is repaired. The brake pedal actually gets stuck and I have to lift it with my foot.
I've been told while friends etc. were driving behind me that I'm "riding my brake"; When I'm not even hitting my brake. My boyfriend was driving my car and got pulled over and was told by the police officer that the brake lights have been on for sometime while driving on the highway. Has anybody else had this problem w/ the brake lights staying on???
