CarComplaints.com Notes: The Cobalt was introduced to replace two of Chevy’s smaller cars, the Cavalier and Prizm. But the compact’s fresh start that Chevy was hoping for was riddled with issues, most notably widespread power steering failure.
I liked the Key less entry system on my cobalt, but one day as I approached my car I needed to put something in the trunk and I pressed my trunk release button repeatedly and the trunk would do nothing. So, I pressed the unlock button and the horn sounded twice and unlocked. Then I tried the trunk again, then nothing. I don't know if it was just mine or a defect. Personally, I don't miss this car. I did at first but after reading all these complains I was lucky I wasn't killed by that death trap.
