The car was running great, my Wife came home for her lunch break and when she went to go back to work the car wouldn't start. It turns over and everything sounds just like it should EXCEPT no fuel pump noise...so i took my trusty multimeter and went through all the wiring and everything was getting power from the relay down to the sending unit... i replaced the fuel filter, dropped my tank replaced the fuel pump AND the sending unit just for good measure...went to fire it up and NOTHING! i have no idea if i just purchased a bum fuel pump but they wont agree to the warranty because it was installed by a non-licensed mechanic/technician..even though i am one in the military.
Update from Jun 24, 2012: I don't know whats wrong. everything should be sound and work fine. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR CHEVROLET?! I've owned Cheys since i was 15 but the constant work on them went from fun learning experiences to tedious labor. i might have to switch to Honda or something. i know they run with no problems for 200k+ miles. i feel im just pissing money away when the repairs made aren't the solution even after 3 mechanics told me the problem..i just cant afford this right now
